I guess I'm just spreading the word out there.

Over the years, a lot of s*** has changed with YouTube. First it was the whole layout, then the new 'Beta' style, then the new 'One' channel layout. Now Google is forcing us to make Google+ accounts and is taking away our anonymous accounts.

We're being forced down the throat with advertisements and all this other crap we don't need, just to talk with our fellow peers. All this signing up to give a like on a video, or put in a few-character message. It's getting ridiculous. You can't even reply to people anymore. All the fun we used to have is gone! But people have finally started to stand up. Sign this petition and show Google that we don't want all of this! We want to keep it simple!

Share this with all your friends! We don't want this and we won't tolerate it!

This happens every year, and every year, people get over it in a few days.
This one is different. Never before has YouTube broken the wall that is our anonymous accounts. Having an alias is one of the biggest parts of the internet, and rule one should be not to break it. YouTube is not a social networking site, and does not need to be connected to one that everyone hates. Google+ is bad, and rather than accept that and shut it down, they go ahead and force it down our throats. The other things in that past were just visual changes, I can't even comment anymore. THIS CHANGED EVERYTHING. It's an awful business practice, and is one of the dirtiest moves I've ever seen. I wrote my first blog article about it today, it should explain why this is such an issue.
If this is advertising, too bad. This is what I had to say about the new and *improved G+ comments - http://therandomman1000.wordpress.com/2013/11/07/youtube-the-new-google-comments-and-why-they-suck/

1) Google Plus is not a failure
2) You can still have an alias, you just need to spend 3 minutes making another account.
3) Don't like it, don't use it.

1) It has some good ideas, but doesn't implement them properly. Very few people use it, and even when not regarding features, comparing it to the other social networking sites and the amount of people that use them, G+ is a massive failure. Remember, Google is a company, they need clicks and views to make money and G+ wasn't getting enough so they felt the need to force it on us. That alone is reason enough to prove it's a failure, that Google feels the need to force us to use it.
2) You can but we shouldn't have to make multiple accounts to do so. We also have to use 2 separate sites (Youtube and G+) to comment on 1 site. I for one don't want to manage and switch between 2 or 3 accounts for google to work. \
3) This is as bad as the "Don't like it Don't watch it argument". The reason we criticize and point out issues in videos, movies, software, and games, is because we want it to improve. I've been on YT for almost 4 years now, and Google shouldn't be screwing a customer out of something, especially a long time consumer, because they want to force their new project on it. They didn't beta test this change, didn't see if we wanted it, they just pushed it out without any consent. It was ignorant, stupid, and just plain wrong. It's not like I'm some random person ranting about a change that doesn't effect my day to day life, they don't like - don't use argument only works when talking about an entirely new product, this is a product or service I already use, I'm not going to stop using it cold turkey because they made a change I dislike.

That's terrible reasoning. Commenting on youtube helps the content creator know how to improve, or what people watching their videos want to see. If you don't like something, the best thing to do is to act on it. Looking at the petition, quite a few people want it to change, and have acted on it (14000 signatures at the time of writing).

This is an argument that people throw around time and time again. The fact is, though, that a lot of times, it's not this simple.

What if my friend is a popular youtuber? I can't comment on his videos because I don't like Youtube commenting system anymore? I can't watch his videos because I hate youtube in general?

That's just the beginning...honestly, youtube is the biggest place for videos like this. Many, many people who post videos on youtube don't post them anywhere else. If I just stopped using youtube, I'd lose the ability to watch virtually every video worth watching on the entirety of the internet. (A bit of an exaggeration, but honestly...a large percentage of great video content that's easily accessible to me is on youtube, TV show things like Netflix and Hulu aside.) I think I deserve the right to attest to it and state my opinion, because it's directly affecting what content I can enjoy watching.

What you said is a lot more valid in situations where there is another equally great option...but there isn't. If I can't use youtube, I can't watch virtually anyone I currently enjoy watching, unless they as well switched to something else, and we know it's not that simple in this case. Youtube simply dominates too much of the internet user made video department.

Exactly. The argument really only works when one is talking about something with many alternatives. The argument doesn't make any sense here.
