I got a lever and sand block?

As I was playing MCSG, I killed someone and obtained a block of sand and lever. I could see this being an advantage as you can put the lever down to activate doors. Is this a bug? or is there a way to get the lever and sand?

There is a sandtrap in the middle of a lake somewhere you can get it. It fills up with lava pretty quickly, except for 1 block of water, and I think there's a tier2 chest at the bottom of it.

Theres actually a secret double chest in an area where you can place the lever on it and open it up. It's pretty cool. Not telling though.

In between the cave above the combination vault and the lava trap doors, there's a cave with a chest around the corner and an out of place broken cobblestone block you put the lever on. It opens up a double chest that always has a stone weapon and full leather inside.

Why not use the lever on the space on top of the Redstone where the picture is taken?

SG2? You can get a door in that map, even, and you get the door and the gravel at the same house.

Well, in the end I was wondering if I could place the lever so I just placed it on the wall. Minutes later, I realized I could of put it where the redstone torch goes.

If you know the combo lock room for SG1, the one whereby the code is the Block IDs of the blocks mentioned on the signs. Once you got out of there, head straight and there should be a cave. It contains a chest and an out-of-place cracked stone bricks. That's where you put the lever.
