AS Server Confusion

So hey guys, I'm really confused. For the past few days a whole lost of AS players including myself have been unable to access the AS servers. I've been messaged on Skype by a lot of them who are equally as confused as I am. At first I thought it was just server maintenance downtime, however, it's been going on for too long. I was just wondering, does anybody know what's going on? I don't have time to bother to Mods too much because it's late and I thought I'd make a thread for your alternative time-zoners (lul) to post whilst I nap. So yeah, if anybody has any information or has heard any rumours

They shouldn't shut it down, IMO it will not work very well and loads of people will quit. :|

There'd be about 100 players quitting.. Probably less, Asian servers attract almost no players, not to mention they get a playable connection to AU, EU, US and possibly CA.

Let's remember it only took 100 players to sign a petition to convince Chad to make AU servers, besides, loads of people have been leaving because about 6 or so AS servers are permanently restarting (before they were all shut down like now) and almost every game crashed (Okay, maybe 2/10, but that's too many!)

There are still people playing in the AS servers and we are still having fun in the AS servers. Although Asian players receive a playable connecton to other regions, sometimes there are lag and stuffs like that. The number of AS servers can be decreased probably if there are lesser players, as you say. Ultimately, there are still people playing in the AS servers and some people do not have a stable connection if they play at other region.

Lets remember it took 100 petitions to get Australian servers when MCSG was SMALL, MCSG has grown alot from that.

Also, I'm pretty sure AS servers are cheaper than AU servers, otherwise why would Chad use AS servers for AU for the first while until they finally had enough money? All we really need is 6 or so AS servers and we're fine.

Yes 6 servers for AS would be fine for us.
