The Hot Bar + Inventory Guide

When if I am not desperate for food I usually have my hot bar like this:

1. Sword (Primary weapon)
2. Fishing pole ( Boost my chances on getting more hits on him)
3. Bow ( Sub-Weapon)
4. FnS (Best weapon)
5. Golden apples Or more FnS
6. Meat (Steak or Pork)
7. Anothe food
8. Arrows/bait material
9. Boat (If on a water map or more food.

I pretty much do the same inventory setup as you.. I just usually have 2-3 fns in my hotbar. Depending who I'm fighting or how many I'm fighting. I do not sort out my inventory however, except my fns, simply because you never know when you might need to switch them in and out.

Am I the only one who sets up my hot-bar like this?

When it comes to scrolling, it depends on what OS you are using. I for one, use Windows. This means that if I scroll downward, I will progress across the hotbar to the right. This is much more comfortable for me, so I usually keep my sword in my first slot, followed by the bow and fishing rod.

For Mac, it is just the opposite.

For me in order it's Sword, Flint n Steel, Flint n Steel, Golden Apple, Food, Food, Food, either arrows, fishing rod, or boat, and finally a bow. c:
