Thoughts on the 1.7 Sprint Toggle

I hate BSM. Just because it really doesn't take all that much skill to pvp with it.

But It's now implemented in Vanilla Minecraft.
If it isn't allowed then a lot of Mac users will be unfairly banned.

I saw the thread on the whole Mac advantage yesterday, and I think that's a good enough reason to allow BSM. Because in this situation it can be related to Optifine. Some people, those with good computers get 200 fps without Optifine. With the rest of us we need Optifine to get anywhere near 200 fps. With a Mac, you can have a toggle button without BSM. With a PC, you can't without BSM. If that makes any sense.

Well, as the original intention of BSM was to just do what the sprint button does in 1.7, I doubt it will be updated.

But some people probably will update it for themselves which kinda sucks.

I personally think this new update is very exciting and will (hopefully) spice up PvP a bit!

It would be stupid if you or anyone got banned for this. BSM now has no real advantage anymore, so I would be shocked If people kept getting banned for it.

I wouldn't be surprised as the mods have been told you do lose your sprint in 1.7 which is true. It's just easier to regain sprint. However with a Mac you can continuously sprint through combat wth no breakage what so ever.

It only makes sense to now allow BSM. As Mac users will give the exact same evidence as BSM which makes it now impossible to get real evidence of someone using BSM without someone admitting to it.

I'd like to get an Admins view on the matter

The only thing I don't like about it is that you can start your sprint while in water D:

After using the Sprint Toggle update it is really fun to PvP!

FYI when you hit someone your sprint will still break, just with the new key you can sprint faster.
