Super Delete- Help?

Hey guys, I've got a small problem that keeps popping up. I am on a mac, if that matters. I'm pretty sure it happens when I click out of minecraft while in the text chat, but when I try to delete a character, it deletes the entire word. For instance:

Normaly:
"Team please I fann" ---> "Team please I fan"
I'd go in and delete the extra n and be fine.

With this thingy:
"Team please I fann"---> "Team please I"
I'd hit delete, and it would delete the entire word.

This can get kind of annoying, as it makes commands and long strings of text a pain to misspell. I know that if I restart minecraft it fixes it, but sometimes it just goes away on its own and I'm not sure how.

If you know the fix, I'd really appreciate some help

I know right! This problem annoys me on a daily basis. Not sure if it also happens to you, but when you try throwing one item to the floor, it throws up all the stack...

It's really annoying. I haven't really asked on the forums nor to my friends if they deal with the same because I don't really care, but lets see if someone knows how to fix this..

Well, according to a quick google search, if you press Command + Delete could help. I'm not sure what it does, but it's worth a shot.

I'll try this- I've tried google before to no avail... maybe this one will work?

I used to have that on my pc, but if I pressed what I believe was both left control and right control, as well as alt and alt gr. I hope this helps

Nope, that deletes the whole word, but only once. It doesnt keep it that way.
