Everyday on these forums I see this:
As you can see girls in this community are constantly being harassed, mistreated and objectified, by a lot more than a few of us. This is completely unacceptable. For me, this game is a place of escape. A place to relax, get away from homework and school and calm down. I’m positive girls want that too--but how can that kind of atmosphere be obtained if this forum is “creeping” with supposed “horny teenage boys”? Not only is this bad, but there are numerous problems that stem from it.
Now there’s this pressure to not be nice to these girls because everyone will think you’re just a “horny teenager” if you do. This makes it hard to defend, compliment or simply even interact with a girl without being badmouthed. Yet, people find it hard to badmouth groups that are in numbers...
Thus, they then badmouth the person being appreciated, which is almost always the girl. And now, a stereotype arises that girls get more likes and more followers, basically they are just more popular.
As you can see here:
And then the excessive...
Okay, so I've identified the problem. What now?
If you’re a girl:
Avoid putting pictures of yourself online, and be prepared if boys ask you too. No is no, and there’s nothing they can do to force you to put it up. (If they do, come to me, I’ll handle them.) I’m not saying you can’t put a picture of yourself up, just be aware of the consequences that may occur. Also, don’t let the boys test you. If you feel something is inappropriate, call them on their ****.
If you’re a boy:
Yes, we’re teenage boys, and our hormones are developing at this age. But guess what else is developing? Our maturity. Use it. Think twice before posting sexual pick-up lines, or complimenting someone on a ‘specific’ physical feature. Also, avoid the temptation to say a girl is only popular because of her physical attributes. Yes, maybe it is true, but don’t say it--what are you proving really?
And finally don’t do this:
Thank you.

Someone made an account called "Brunette" with a profile pic of cleavage.
Don't do that to make a point.

Someone said something to the extent of "girls don't get like spammed, ***** do."
Please refrain from offensive comments like that + swearing.
