I think it should be lowered to 13 or 14. I know it use to be 14 and I can't see why it was raised.

Ok well I'm 17 years old and I'm not allowed to go to the bar and drink. So you're saying when I have a drink I'm going to mess up my brain? No. They do it at 18 because they think you are responsible to act appropriately and know when to stop.
Your body has to be fully grown to drink. Look it up please :).

But like I said if his mod app is not good he won't get in, and a 11 year old kids mod app will not be good guarantee you.
Not necessarily, I wrote a 2k word application at 11 and the only reason I was denied was because of my age. I got advice from many mods and Sr.Mods and they said the application was good.

But your not a mod?
A lot of players around here know more than the moderators, so even if their not moderator they can still help out and know what to do.

As annoying as the limit is, it's there for a reason. Most of the community would not want a 12 year old moderator no matter how mature and dedicated they are to the position. From experience, as mature these young teens can be, they can become arrogant and cocky, break from the pressure of the job and make silly decisions. Now I'm not saying all 12 and 13 year olds are like this, but most are.

The limit is there to have more mature people and make it easier to deal through applications. I used to oppose the age limit before it was explained to me. A good applicant for moderator would respect the rules, find out more about them. Find out acceptable ways to get an exception but know where the barrier is for the exceptions. They wouldn't complain about the limit.

Why is there an age limit on people who can obtain a licence?
Why is there an age limit on people who can drink adult beverages?

It's all the same. At 16 (where I live) the government thinks you have the maturity to drive a car. At 18 (where I live) the government says you have the maturity to drink. Here on MCSG Chad thinks that 15 is the age you have the maturity to become a moderator.

You can cry and plea all you want, but it's not going to change. Just like the real world.

I think no because it is not about age it's about maturity. Btw this thread is most likely gonna start a flame war between different opinions.

Everything that has 2 opinions isn't a flame war -.- It's just discussion. If this was a flame war than Smokey the Bear would have eradicated the forums long ago.

But I'm not that kind of 13 year old I'm nice, respectful and will help players if they need it. Oh and you can even get an age exception at 11 because your not even allowed on the forums.
