Here are some tips for you when you PvP!
1. Flint and Steeling - Never hold it out, your opponent will know it's coming. Also try to guess where your opponent is running, place it two blocks in front of him, it will be to late.
Bowing - If your opponent is a person who shoots then hops over to another side, wait for him to hop again then let go. Also while running, do a 180 and snipe him, then do it over til you think he's low enough.
Fishing Rod - If your opponent is running at you, hit the fishing rod then quickly change over to your sword and begin hitting. The fishing rod will stun the person.
Block Hitting - Sometimes effective, only use if needed. Ex: your low on hearts, the guy has better gear.
Strafe/ Circling - Circle around your opponent while hitting him, it will make it more difficult to hit you.
Crits - Jump up while strafing or just going head to head. Crits cause more damage to your opponent then just hitting him.
