how do you play? or join a server?

hi im pretty new here and i cant figure out how to get onto a server so...maybe a little help here? please?

So I'm assuming you've bought a minecraft account, right?
So what you want to do it open the launcher and click 'play'. When Minecraft opens up, click 'multiplayer' and then 'direct connect'. Copy and paste a server from this list http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/servers/ (you might want to refresh the page if you've had it up for a while) and click 'join'. For optimal speed, it's best to pick a server from where you live; if you're from the US, pick US. If you're from Europe, join EU, etc. Congratulations! You are in a lobby. Wait 2 minutes and the games will start!
Alternatively if you don't want to go back and forth between pages copying and pasting, join us.mcgamer.net (or eu.mcg... or au.mcg... depending on where you're from) and right click with the compass and click the diamond sword. You will be teleported to a location (if it's laggy, right click the clock once) where you can pick your server similar to above, but you click signs instead of copying and pasting. Welcome to a lobby! If you want to return to that selection room, type /hub and that will bring you back. Have fun playing, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Sometimes when you click to join a server you will get a "Arleady Connecting" thingy. Just wait , press it twice and wait, and when you join the lobby do /vote , to see what maps you can choose. And don't trust the people saying "ALT+F4=DIA SWORD" or "DO /HUB"
