PSA: Skype IM Virus - Windows

Today, I had an IM from several people on Skype that looked like this.

"when was the last time you saw this photo? link to photo

Do not click on this link. From what I hear, every 20 minutes this message will send itself to everyone in YOUR contacts.

I'm unclear what it does after this point, but it can do serious harm.

Follow the following steps to REMOVE it from your computer.

Note: I believe this only affects Windows machines, but don't take any chances.

WINDOWS 8 COMPUTERS MAY NOT BE AFFECTED BECAUSE OF SAFE-SCREEN. NOT CONFIRMED, BUT MYSELF AND A FEW OTHER WIN8 USERS DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANY PROBLEM.

I'm pretty sure Macs aren't affected by this virus; there are Skype viruses written for Macs though.

I was just hearing about this from OnlyMathua when I came upon this, lol. I downloaded it. But I'm not dumb enough to install "Screensavers" from weird sources.

I got this Virus. It took 2 minutes to remove.

Just wondering, where does it take you to when you click the link?

It downloads a Link that you open get a EXE (From a Rar folder) or something. (I wasn't paying attention) Then it give you 2 trojans...

Yeah, I have a mac, and luckily, wasn't effected.
