Idea For A Game Mod

Hey everybody! I don't have the means to create this, but if anybody does, that's awesome!

As many of you know, the default character Steve can carry a lot in his inventory. And I mean A LOT! Imagine if there was a mod that served the purpose of making the game harder by only allowing a certain amount of weight to be held. Simply, if Steve carries too much, he can't pick up any more, regardless of inventory slots left. I thought of a way to calculate this.

Suppose n represents a specific item. And w represents the unit weight corresponding to it's actual weight in real life, or an agreed value.

We could say that: n1(w1) + n2(w2) + n3(w3) + n4(w4) ... = Total Possible Weight

Just a little idea that I had to make the game harder by limiting how much Steve could carry by not only amount of space in his inventory, but the weight of each item. Maybe the maximum weight could vary due to difficulty settings.

They have a weighted inventory mod that reduces movement speed based on the amount of items. I don't think items have individual weights though. Combine this with your idea and that'd be cool!

I was also thinking about item weight being inversely proportional to player speed. Sounds like an awesome idea!

sounds great :p no longer is steve seriously strong with no consequences

lol jk, it could take some time for a person to make it compatible with every object in-game, but it would probably be cool.

EDIT:this should be allowed in the hunger games :p, oh the horror.

It'd be amazing if Minecraft was more survival realistic. What if you could also craft a backpack that can increase inventory size and movement speed.

Too bad I can do this with command blocks in the new snapshot.
