Razor actually made me click more precise, faster and it's extremely comfy. I don't use macros or anything, but I do believe my performance has actually increased in getting a gaming keyboard and mouse.

Also, the anti-ghosting feature on the keyboards is amazing.

And another thing about razor is that you pay for the name, some people like to believe they have a more expensive thing so they are considered higher, generally more expensive things are considered better.

Example, someone asks you what mouse you have..

"I have a 2009 dell mouse I got for $5!"

"I have a 2013 Razor Deathadder"

I know what I'd rather say. :p

Alrighty, let's just say you get asked. What's wrong with having a $5 mouse? Do the Razor mouses increase your sex appeal or something? What am I missing.
Yeah, studies show girls like guys with glowing mouses, have you been living under a rock for your whole life? ;-;

"Need"

No one needs a computer...
But I want a computer.
No one needs internet...
But I want internet.
No one needs nice computer peripherals...
But I want nice computer peripherals.

Personally, I have a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate and a Razer DeathAdder.

(Might write a bit more once I have the time)

You're right, it doesn't automatically make you some pro. In fact, it hardly has any effect on performance at all... (unless, as some people mentioned, you just find the mouse a really comfy fit or something.) But what you're missing is that a lot of people didn't get it for that - there are a large number of other reasons to grab something like a razor deathadder. Primarily, it has it's own software, so I can set the buttons - including the extra two - to do whatever I want. I can even set macros to them to do combinations of buttons if I so wished. (Although I'm too lazy to bother with the macros. :l)

Yeah, sure, maybe I could get a $12 mouse with an extra button or two, but that doesn't mean it will be as comfortable in my hand, last nearly as long, be nearly as customizable, etc. Personally, I couldn't be happier with my deathadder. I am quite content with what I've bought, I've yet to see something better for any less. (I actually didn't buy a deathadder because it was a gaming mouse, either - I just bought it because I was lazy and found a set of things, this mouse, a headset, and a mousepad as a "bundle" online that all had great reviews. They were commonly sold together according to the website, so they put a discount on this "bundle".) (I don't have a razor headset.)

Not everyone bought a razor product just because it's a "cool gaming mouse/headset that'll make me better". In that sense, yes, it's a waste of money, but for someone like myself, who got a mouse for comfort and stuff like that, it's perfectly worth it in my opinion. Then again, I'm not exactly the guy you go to to find a cost effective mouse, either, because I do lack some knowledge in that department...but I know enough to at least tell you that it's by no means a waste of money.
