Actually...it's true, I do get likes just because I'm G33ke. I've posted on threads before with perfectly normal posts, just like everyone else, and it always gets more likes than it deserves.1: G33ke doesnt get likes on posts just for being himself, its because his posts are quality, and worth reading...
However, it isn't true that I got likes on the particular post he pointed out just because I'm G33ke. In fact, digging deeper into the thread, my posts were disagreed with on many occasions, even by people who would normally just like my posts and leave it. I have many posts in this thread that haven't received the average amount of likes, because people disagreed with them. It just so happens that that first one was not quite disagreed with as often, if you know what I mean.
It's great to get community feedback and all, but this isn't the way. The thing is, what he posted is not something the community can help with. What he's asking is just whether or not the community thinks the staff is corrupt, and asking people to reevaluate themselves. (like the staff.) The community saying and arguing whether or not the staff is corrupt in their opinion is not constructive criticism, nor is him asking the staff such a task in public necessary. The awareness that the "staff is corrupt" is only going to cause problems, not fix them. It would maybe help a bit if the thread was created with the intention of recommendations for how the staff could improve, but all he's asking in terms of opinions is a simple question that gives the staff no help and increases the divide that shouldn't exist in the first place.I hate how G33k gets likes on posts just because he is G33k. It is the community's job to get involved in this. If no one in the community ever said anything to oppose the Moderator's decisions, MCSG would be horrible. They are supposed to take the criticism and try to improve. As long as no one is constantly flaming saying the staff is complete crap, it is spreading awareness of what is/has happened to the staff, whether you want to admit it or not. Everyone has to understand that the staff is biased, you cannot disagree. The biased is not always a bad thing, but the people without connections will always complain. It is much like the state of the USA government right now. I don't want to go into politics here, but there is no such thing as a "perfect" government or staff, but as long as people feel like they have some input, and the leaders make it seem like their opinions change something, we will be satisfied. (Sorry if Its sloppy typing, I had to go so I rushed most of it)
Also, much the same way that the staff is biased, you're biased, I'm biased, we're all biased...it's human nature. I'm biased towards defending the staff, since I feel the staff don't deserve the nonconstructive criticism, I've been there, and much the same, I'm sure you have some sort of bias behind why you feel pixel made the right decision to have made the thread. The word bias doesn't have to be used in a negative way, you know, it's just something humans do - without any bias, it would be much more difficult for us to make decisions. Sometimes, you just don't know how much bias actually effects many of your decisions, even if you hate to admit it. The staff has made just as many biased decisions to defend themselves as much of the community has to argue back that their "corrupt" or anything of the sort. Yes, a staff is supposed to be as unbiased as possible...but honestly, it's too much to ask that a group of hundreds of people - especially teenagers - be completely 100% unbiased. There will be a few decisions driven on bias.
