Hi guise, this is my Minecraft [MCSG] story, prepare for something to keep you reading.. for a long time.
As a lot of you probably don't even know me unless you play on the CA region I've decided to write this. It's been five months since becoming a moderator and I believe you guys should know me (my past) just tad more.
So, it began when I got bored of the old game I played, Maple Story. When I finally decided to play Minecraft, at first, I didn't buy the full version, it was $30, it took a while to convince myself. I would always play single player with a semi cracked version of Minecraft. Then, the Hunger Games movie came out and it blew me away. It was definitely one of the best movies I saw. All around me were talks about movie, one day, I decided to search up on YouTube, "Minecraft - Hunger Games" The concept of chests and weapons on Minecraft, reminded me of the movie.. so yup. My logic. I came upon a video, I found it really interesting and I really wanted to play. The video, "surprisingly" was from BajanCanadian. I eventually subbed, watched that series he did, daily. One day, I really had the urge to play, I went out, brought Minecraft, and started my first day on MCSG.
I eventually became that noob that made it a goal just to even get to Death Match. I usually was THAT PERSON to hide the whole game.. (Now I realize how annoying that is... haha.. oops. :/) After 10 or so games playing solo and losing horribly with my full leather, I learned, teaming was probably the only way of getting close to winning. That's where I met @scorpion252. I met him in the lobby and well.. he had a girl skin. Without giving a doubt that he may have been a male, I went on believing he was a female. Everyday before we go off we'd have a plan. What time we'll be on. What server we'll meet on. One day I decided to make a Skype. We Skyped, and I finally acknowledged he was a guy. He was the first friend on Minecraft. I won my first game with him and I can still remember the excitement I had. Eventually, Canadian servers came out. I learned I had much better connection on there. On there I met a few people, a group Cheetowunga, @degs_64, and a few other people I can't quite remember. I eventually meet Wabbamagoo and he introduced me to Gumby. As he was one of the top players I was surprised I was even teamed with him. From there on I was introduced to @flohoho and @snoopyk9. Flohoho is probably one of the most amazing guy I've met, the nicest. He was one to come upon everyone. Him being the top 10 I became semi popular teaming with him. Next I met @kristier12, she introduced me to @Wolf_Rush3r, @AfroSmack and Puckluck.
[I probably missed a lot of people but if I continue naming names that'll be my whole story. :/]
We suddenly became "that" group. Ciphoux became part of the group due to Florian and we were just that big team bur besides the team we were like a big family. From the moment we wake up to the minute we sleep. In other words. We were a bunch of no lives. Within our group there was much drama here and there. Our group slowly just drifted as we met people branching off. We had people popping in and out of the group, @Fanyo @Celsur, AttentionSeeker, @MNGLOGANp, @geoman343, @Dontae, @yuraleth, @illumina1337, and @Str33t or @BlondeAsian. At the end the group was based off of Geo De (Dontae) WolfRusher, Seth and I. Most of us had the goal to become mods. Ciphoux was denied once but he didn't give up. He then on continued to apply once again and became part of the staff team. I then quietly applied with no one knowing. One day in class I got accepted. The excitement that flowed through me couldn't be stopped. I couldn't wait to get out of class and get through the interview process. The school hours eventually got by. Upon getting home I waited about 4 hours before getting my interview.
The interview was probably the scariest thing I've ever been through. Not wanting to fail. I was nervous. extremely nervous as everyone probably would be, no matter how many times I do the interview I probably would feel the same way. With a gallon of water next to me. I prepared.. I don't quite remember who interviewed me but it was along the lines of MCJackson, Slasher. Colstar, Aerunner, possibly Bic and well .. people I don't remember. Once the interview started I was already chocking on my words. Hearing nothing but um and ers from the other end. In some questions there was much studders and at one point I believe they were even laughing at me when my whole answer was full of awkwardness and confusion. Either way after their decision making and after being trolled I was officially a staff member.
Back when I became a staff member there wasn't the "buddy" concept there was a few waves before. I had to learn much myself. I tried to make no mistake trying to be perfect but obviously nothing is perfect I made a few mistakes here and there and luckily they were minor mistakes. As a staff member on Team Speak I wouldn't really talk to ant other staff members because I was aware of my awkwardness.
The first person I talked to as a staff was @tetlow and we'd talk everyday. Id never forget that he was one of the nicest guys and we got a long fairly well. On the first mod meeting that was when I first heard Bic. He seemed pretty scary. What motivated that was probably his deep voice but eventually he carried on his routine. As a staff remember you got wished a good night every night by Bic and you get that warm fuzzy feeling inside. Anyway after a few days I came to the realization he wasn't a big meanie as I thought but in fact he was a big softie. A lot of people whom I thought was scary turned out to be really nice. Although I wouldn't talk to many staff members here and there I met a few that I would talk to here and there and accompany me on hub moderating such as @Angryjukebox, @BlueBeetleHD, K2, Bic, Subv3rsion, Adragonfire, Crazykapy, Bulletshield MCJackson and Creepycrawler. Eventually most people got their dream of becoming a staff member.
Three months later I'm still doing what I want to do, being a staff remember and enjoying it like nothing else. I am constantly trying to push myself to be an even better moderator. How to end this I am not sure. But my MCSG "life" has been a rocky road. Ups and downs were included but it is fun all the way through. This has always been the place I came to when I needed support or just people to spend a day with when nothing else goes right. I would never regret joining this family like community as I've made much more than team mates or people who play this game but, friends.<3
