What do you do if you are getting bullied?

So it is a new school year, drama has already started. This time its the freshman's. So the freshman on my bus like to throw food at people and make fun of people. They act like they own the school. Me being awesome i stepped in and set them straight. I started to make fun of them. They shut up eventually. It wasnt the best thing to do. I knew the freshman too, they were friends with my ex (They had no idea who i was). I Almost got into a fight with them. But know that violence doesnt always solve everything. If you were getting bullied what would you do?

Outsmart them with words. If they make a physical threat, I would say something like "It's sad how you need to resort to physical violence in an attempt to win an argument". Then if they attack me, I will defend myself.

I've actually never really been bullied, so I don't know what I would do. The most people have ever really done is call me "Mr. 60's Kid" because of my music tastes. I do know a couple pricks I've really wanted to nail in my school though.
Typically I just keep my cool, that's what I always do. I'm pretty chill in real life.

It really depends on what people consider bullying. Some people really overreact, and let one little prick who calls them a couple names get the best of them, and then go crazy and they think they've been bullied. Then there's the type of bullying when a group of people can tend to poke a bit of fun at you, I think I actually had this happen to me once. I didn't have any idea who they were though, and I didn't care at all: because, hey, I don't know them.

Then there's probably the most devastating, in my opinion, type. The backstabbing friend. It's that kid you always used to hang out with and you were tight with, then one day they turn on you and make fun of you. That one can bite.

Sometimes you just have to crunch on that bullet and walk your way through. I wouldn't recommend making fun of people who are making fun of other people. You're basically turning yourself into the "bully" with that strategy.

I never really get bullied. If people are being stupid like the freshmen I honestly feel that what you did might have been best. I know people that won't ge a message unless it involves something unpleasant happening to them. You may say "but hawk that's terrible and wrong!" To that I respond with try being nice, if that doesn't get through to them remember that the world isn't a nice place all the time and you don't need to be nice all the time too. A lot of the time people will stop when they realize 90% of the people around them hate them, in my experience.

I got semi-bullied, I guess. Just a few remarks here and there. Nothing serious.
I just didn't let them get under my skin and joked about what they were saying.

Depending on how it effects you, I would personally ignore the idiots who are bullying you, or just tell an adult.

They were doing this on a regular basis. No way the other students would ignore it. Just trying to be a Good Samaritan and help. Didn't want the bullying to get out of hand.
