......I just realized that "Sprinting in all directions" doesn't mean sprinting in every direction, at once.
It means sprinting in any direction?!?!!!?!?!?!
As in backwards, forwards, and sideways?
Ohhh, so that's why people kept saying "He has BSM" whenever someone was sprinting backwards, instead of "He has Nodus" or something.....
**It all makes sense now**

So you definitely don't break sprint when you hit someone?

I played on the snapshot for a little bit and from what I've seen when you hit someone/something your sprint stops but if you keep holding the key down it restarts almost instantly.

I dont think BSM allows you to do that on multiplayer

EDIT: cofirmed just tested that on another server, all direction sprinting does NOT work on multiplayer on most servers

I've personally tested the new snapshot, and it seems that your sprint never breaks, even when hitting entities or blocks, so it is exactly like BSM.

Really? >_> I think myself and some others tested it, too, and found it to be the other way around. I punched some pigs, and my sprint stopped. I also walked into a grass block, and it stopped.

If you hold it down, the second you move away from those grass blocks your sprint will instantly restart. Same with killing the pigs (I tested it myself as well.)

Minecraft is in its dark age. I feel changing the already sprint to an even —possibly— worse sprint. Nuh -uh.

I would like to clarify a few points. The use of BSM will still be against the rules, even when Minecraft 1.7 is released. I understand that with the update, you will be able to sprint with one key, but BSM has more features than just sprinting forward. For example, you can continue sprinting even when you run in fire. You can also sprint sideways and backwards. Since not everyone has access to those benefits, BSM will still be considered an unfair advantage, therefor, it will most likely remain against the rules.

Second, all players who were/will be banned for the use of BSM BEFORE the release of Minecraft 1.7 will remain banned. Using the excuse that BSM will be implemented in1.7 wont work.

The rules will surely be updated once 1.7 is released. So stay tuned. :)

You can't sprint sideways and backwards on multiplayer and sprinting on fire is possible with the update.
