Any good recording software programs?

I've been trying to start a YouTube gaming channel and I can't seem to find the right software to record. I tried Fraps (only 29 seconds of recording), Hypercam (starts lagging on audio after a while), and Debut (the video wouldn't show up). Any ideas on how to improve the previous programs or suggest a new one would be very much appreciated! <3

Are you using pc or mac?

I use Screenflow for mac
It runs nicely and works, I only use the demo though

I use a PC. So we have Screenflow, Fraps, Dexter, and Bandicam? Anything else? Also, preferably free>

For PC I would recommend you Fraps.

If you have Mac (which is good that you don't), then break it, buy an ACTUALLY good computer.

If you have Windows/PC, I suggest Fraps.

Dxtory files are giant, im using it currently..... And you need to virtual dub it.
