Why Hive?

Hai! I just notised that many people move from MCSG to The Hive. Why?

Because they think MCSG's community sucks, although it is exactly the same on the Hive.

The Hive has more things to offer, including hide and seek, One in the Chamber, splegg, as well as Survival Games. I might actually go over there, but the only problem with it is there is EU lag, which makes donor almost neccesary.

Well I love the hive!
But I also love MCSG. I am a lot more active on MCSG but I love The hives other game types!
I'm just waiting for mcsgs next game type

Should it really matter? People decide to do what they decide to do, I honestly prefer MCSG but I use them both... (maybe sometimes Hive a little bit more because of TIMV, but there isnt really a big difference, and I belong completely to the MCSG forums and comunity, Ive been here for longer and thats how its gonna stay )

I think people should leave alone others and not put to question every desition they make, even if you dont agree with it. Id rather have the people who leave stay, of course, but if they decide to leave we shouldnt really bug them about it.... its their choice.

It is funny because the hive's arcade developer has left them, and still had more game modes that were going to be released. Many of which, I have played. Honestly this makes the hive personally, not survival games. The only difference is you have no one using chest finder, and the chests are random. While this is original, I don't think that it really makes the game good because you never know where things will be.

To be honest, I dislike the Hive's community more. There are some good people there, but a lot of them (at least on the forums) annoy me to no end. Constant pony power brony threads, lots of immature staff members, and just overall annoying users. I used to get spammed 24/7 from users who were complaining at me about how there wasn't a new Kill of the month. Even though I was working my a** off to get it out on the table, Ed wouldn't. So in return to my hard work, I simply got loads of complaints.

the bonds of MCSG are stronger and are tight enough the <3 can't let me go, and many others. The ones to leave are just ones to not know the full experience of MCSG. They're newer, and don't have as well manufactured of a plugin or community as we do. If I ever stop MCSG, I probably'll just stop SG all together. I've been with MCSG too long I can't start fresh and be like me somewhere else

Anyway, on to the question at hand; there are a ton of reasons why players may go to the Hive instead of MCSG.

1. Basically all the big, successful Youtubers play there.
2. There are more gametypes.
3. As stated earlier in this thread, many people believe the Hive community is better.
4. Hive allows BSM.
5. Some people might like HiveSG's features, such as crates and randomized crate locations.
6. The Hive has the official survival games maps and there maps are arguably higher quality.
7. Hive has shown to be more reliable and consistent with server uptimes compared to MCSG.
8. Hive is the most popular server network, and I guess some people like to be with the most popular.

There's probably other reasons but that was all I could think of off the top of my head. For me, Hive is a great server set, but it is slightly more difficult to get into servers, due to their popularity, and the EU lag turns me away. I used to play on the Hive until I got sick of the EU lag and decided to play MCSG until the US Hive came out. Now, I don't see myself going back to the Hive for SG, since I've made so many good friends here at MCSG, but I still occasionally play the other gamemodes they offer.
