Unless you're Ultimate Fishing Rod Of Doom bad at PvP, the player is a hacker, or you're lagging really bad, just chase him / her.

They'll run away before you even see them though.

If you're close to the player, yes.
Fishing rods usually float up to the top after a short period of time.

bunnies mentors, I made it through with the help of friends.
No one brought me to MCSG, I found it through typing.
I was in the AU Rebels, and then Phoenix (disbanded Phoenix)
