Lots of Lag With Normal FPS

hi, so i've been lagging a LOT on these servers lately, and I have no idea why. I'm getting around 20-30 fps, which is normal for my laptop, but I seem to be getting some sort of extreme server lag that none of my friends get in the same game. If you can help me I'd be really grateful!

I have been lagging, since the new update to minecraft, I really don't like the lag, but I guess we both have to deal with it. . I wish they would Down grade back to 1.5.2

i dont think thats whats wrong with mine, i only started lagging recently after minevraft crashed saying it ran out of memory

Make Minecraft get more memory. I don't know how but...

Your FPS has nothing to do with your Lagging. Its your connection to the Servers or your Wifi Strength. I recommend looking at what server has the best ping for you first. EX: playing AS in US is as bad Idea.

Check your router. If the lights are all on its good.

Im a British player but i play US servers and i dont lag normally so i doubt its that, ill see if EU isn't laggy though. Yeah i'll have a look at my router ^_^

Interesting. Was your Internet Provider acting up?

I dont think so, ive mainly been lagging on the mcsg servers in particular

Well I tend to play on US and CA And I haven't had lagg for quite a while now. Have you tried to do EU Servers? Or AS servers?

i just tried EU servers, they're a lot better, still slightly laggy but its playable. US was still incredibly laggy, which is disappointing since i really like the people in US and weird since it was never like this before hopefully I can find a way to fix the US lag in some way or another!

Ask them to join you on TeamSpeak or Skype and Then Maybe Try CA? They shouldn't be to bad for you.
