Optifine Glitch?

I recently installed optifine to Minecraft, and I noticed something.
If you go to Video settings, then change the Fog Start Control to 6. Change your render Distance to tiny, and go into a A world/Server. You'll be able to see Mobs/Players in the unloaded chunks and be able to see them without fog. I was wondering if this is allowed to be used or, if I should change it.

I've seen mods use this, so I'm almost positive that this is allowed.

Yeah, I've noticed this too, on a small render distance (32). However, I disabled fog altogether.

This gives you an advantage over other players, in my opinion this is allowed but it should not be used

Optifine is definitely allowed on the mcsg servers. This mod is to help you increase your fps, if your put your render distance on tiny and your fog control to 6, your not doing anything wrong. If this mod is allowed you can do what ever you want with it. I hoped I helped.

Edit: I would think this allowed due to the fact that Optifine is allowed. I would not suggest using it though because it is of course a glitch and can give an unfair advantage.

The sue of Optifine is allowed and i'm sure the bug will be fixed sometime in the future.

But it's not a bug, just a setting.

There should be no problem with it considering that every player has the ability to do it and Optifine is a mod that is allowed on the MCSG servers.
