Sprint Jumping, to be specific I think it's a jump off a 1 block tall thing to give you that slight boost without taking damage. Unless Quake Pro counts

I was thinking sprint-jumping in a 2 block high passage, that way, you can't get any leverage, but you still get the speed boost from jumping, plus the ceiling forces you back down, allowing you to just tap space for a speed boost. Perfect in low clearing caves or in forests where the leaves start at 2 blocks (like the trees outside of the lighthouse corn in Holiday resort). This can also help you make a getaway if you're being chased, or catch up with someone if you're chasing.
