Hello I have been looking at some laptops but don't know much about them. I have been looking at a few of the following laptops and was wondering what level of performance I could expect from them(like how much fps) on for example a quite laggy map like valleyside on normal render distance.

thanks

Most likely ~Far fancy. Probably above 60 fps.
Though, you could save alot of money buying cheaper..

The HP doesn't even give any specs, but out of the first two the samsung is better. I think you'll probably be able to max out at far render distance, if not definately normal. I dont know as much about laptops as desktops but i bet you it will run far and fancy. Does newegg deliver to NZ? Just curious.

That's $NZD, not AU or US :p Our monies are worth less than yours, so hence the price is greater.

Anyway, I too am interested as I have been looking into the HP, and other laptops of similar specs :p My guess is that they can run perfectly fine, on far/recording etc. They are pretty well set up, with i5/i7 and decent graphics. I think the Samsung is a bit pricy, though.

I would say the 17.3 inch VAIO E Series 17 is your best bet. It has a good Processor and a good Graphics card. The only thing it is lacking is Memory. Try and see if you can upgrade that to at least 8 GB.

Why...the samsung laptop has 8 gb and the graphics are a generation ahead.

Oh crap. That is the one I meant. LOL sorry :p I looked at all three of them and for sure the Samsung seems to be the best.

If you're going to be spending that much money, I highly suggest the ASUS Republic of Gamers Gy5VX.
Here is the link: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/G75VX/
I own this laptop and it is honestly one of the highest-performing ones you could find for around $1000. I usually get 120-190 fps on MCSG (discluding fallen empire, survival kingdom, sg2, and sg5 where I will usually get around 80-100 fps). This is with completely maxed out settings with Optifine Ultra, on Far render. I can also record with fraps and not take too much of a frames hit. With shaders and still using maxed settings, I'll get 40-50 fps.
