Redstone Tutorial? Help Needed!

I, like many others, am a total n00b when it comes to redstone.
I had a very rudimentary understanding of redstone, but with all the new additions to Minecraft in recent updates, I have found myself not even understanding what some blocks do. (like what the heck is a comparator when it's at home? And what's the difference between a dropper and a dispenser?)

So, if anyone could point me towards a up-to-date redstone tutorial, or can even make one, that would be really, really great (pl0x i phan)

NOTE: I'm not looking for "How to make a 4x4 piston door!", but more for something which teaches me about the elements which go into a 4x4 piston door, like T flip flops or whatever they are called, so I can use them in my own creations.

Hello, I'm Cubes. I'd say I have quite an advanced knowledge of redstone.
I'd recommend this YouTube video by Sethbling if you want to learn about all the new features in the redstone department (as of 1.5.1).
