Why a Wooden Sword is better than a Stone Ax

With wood swords, you can block-hit, so I prefer Wood swords.

You are indeed correct about the axes taking durability twice as fast, however axes are actually still more durable. The minecraft wiki states that a stone axe has 132 uses. 132/2 = 66 whereas the wooden sword has 60 uses. So for those of you that don't use blocking, continue to go with the stone axe. Plus they do indeed look scarier.

No. Baccas have no fear of the weapons they use. They are deathly afraid of cooked fish though.

I use Wood Sword because I can block-hit, and I just like a sword better, don't know why.

I would always use a sword over an axe, you can blockhit your way out of an enclosed space ;p

I made a reply about this on a thread a while back. Not only can wood sword block it can also be used to cook food. People say stone axes have more durability but stone axes are classified as tools not weapons so they take 2 durability damage a hit meaning they only have a few more uses(hits) then a wooden sword.
