Hey guys!
This is my fps increase; I know that there are other threads that are about increasing fps, but this is my personal guide to what I use to increase my fps. This will be especially helpful to people with lower-end computers, or computers not made for gaming (e,g. Macs).
1. Render distance - this is a HUGE factor - for survival games, playing with render on normal is good, but small may also be OK if you still want better fps. I wouldn't recommend tiny.
2. Graphics - changing graphics from "fancy" to "fast" can make a small difference (On my laptop, I find about a 10 fps increase). The main difference between the two options is that the leaves turn to solid blocks on "fast" while on they are see-through on "fancy".
3. Performance - a setting not a lot of people pay attention to - there are 3 options; power saver, balanced, and Max FPS. As the 3rd option suggests, Max FPS will give you the best fps (I find a change from 20-50 fps on my laptop from power saves to Max FPS, but it decreases battery much quicker).
4. Particles - changing to minimal may provide a slight fps boost, not quite sure.
5. Clouds - also not sure how much this increases fps, but never a bad thing to try, especially because clouds don't add anything to minecraft.

6. Optifine!!!! - This is a great tool that in many cases, can double FPS. I recommend this, not only to increase FPS, but just as a great tool overall.
If you guys have any other suggestions, please leave a reply below, and I will give credit to the author of the reply!
Hope this helps!
