This isn't about MCSG but ... How can my friends come on to my worlds and create things with me?

I was looking at the introduction video on the minecraft website and it had a bit where it said that you can 'play with friends' but I don't know how to let my friends and I have a world that we can all go on at anytime and create things like you would in your own minecraft world but just with your friends helping you etc.. Anyone have any ideas?

You can play with friends through a LAN connection, through a hamachi server, or through a hosted server.

It seems like the thing you would want is a LAN connection. Essentially, is you and your friends are connected to the same wifi network, and one opens a world, the others can see it in their multiplayer tab. All the person with the world has to do it hit escape, go to Open to LAN, and open it. After that, friends should be able to see it.

I just let Virtual Host a server when we're playing together, I'm too lazy to do it myself.

Nice. So they have to be within bandwidth?

Yes. If you look at your computer, it should display the Wifi network that you are accessed to. In order for it to work. All participants must be on the same network. :)
