I think he's legit. He's done it before; he posted on the forums as Vareiderp when Vareide got forum banned.

Map looks great, but you'll probably get a ton of hate here, considering a substantial portion of the MCSG forum community hates "The Nest" for some reason. Can't wait to play the map when it's done!
