I have never even fought him lol, only died about 15 times off spawn
We fought 3 times or so but I believe you were under-geared. One time I didn't know why you came at me with a wooden sword when i was full iron.

Not a single * was given that day.

don't make fun of my QQ. :[

That's just straight up sprint hacks, lol, not BSM (though BSM does give a massive advantage in combat, it is far less obvious than that, and is seen via sprinting while in combat as opposed to sprinting while standing still).

Anyways, I believe that the current punishment for hacks is perfectly fair. I have several good friends who used to hack, got caught, and haven't hacked since, instead actually developing solid PvP skill. They served out time for their actions, and they turned over a new leaf. And that's what the majority of hackers will do, once caught, they will rectify their actions and become better players. Handing them a 30 day/perm ban on their first offense will just drive them to go hack on other servers, diminishing our player base, and perpetuating the amount of hackers on PvP Minecraft servers. Now, there are of course people who will continue to hack after their ban has expired, but if they do that, they WILL be caught, and they WILL receive a permaban.

Now, to your point about it being the mod's job and not the players. I agree partly, moderators are volunteering their time to catch hackers and improve these servers. That is their job. But there are only around 100 of them, and several million players (or at least unique users that have joined the server, active users is probably more around 100,000). With that ratio, it is simply impossible for the mods to do everything. They rely on community support, though they do hunt down and record hackers as well. You may think they don't do anything, but trust me, they do. I know from experience as my time as moderator that the staff team here at MCSG is absolutely dedicated to improving the quality of play on these servers, and they will do their very best to keep them hacker free.

In summary, I feel the ban times for hackers are fair, with the opportunity for change available to former hackers, yet with harsh repercussions if they refuse to learn their lesson. I hope you continue catching hackers and helping the mods clean up the community, one hacker at a time. You've done some great work so far. And good luck on your goals, I noticed you skyrocketing past me on the leader boards a day or two ago, so it shouldn't be that hard :p

Anyways, I hope you've fully read and considered the contents of this post (I know it's long, but I'm not going to put a TL;DR), and I wish you luck in the future.
