Hello everyone, Huahwi here and today I want to talk about Better Sprint Mod Users & Hackers.

The past 5-days, I've been playing at CA Servers and I've notice quite a alot of users were using illegal mods and/or hacks. I've got 9 users recorded using Better Sprint Mod & 2 hackers using force-field/auto-critical hit/speed hacks/aim-bot. There was this one day where I died 3 games in a roll by a Better Sprint Mod user. It was ridiculous. I am ranked #51 on MCSG at the moment with about 26,000 bounty points. My goal is to reach top 25 in the leaderboards and reach 1:2 win/game's played ratio along with the player with the most bounty in the game.

For some odd reason, some of the users that I reported weren't banned even though the response from the moderator quotes "This user will be dealt with" on all of my reports.

Why are these cheaters getting temporarily banned for 7 days or less? This is ridiculously small penalty for cheating. One of my MCSG buddies got banned for saying "I hack" in a MCSG server lobby.

Better Sprint Mod users & Hackers should be banned at least 30 days or even better, permanently.
What do you guys think about this?

The advantage of using this mod against someone without it may seem minimal, but when they start sprint side to side and continuously hitting you while continuously sprinting, you can't win. You will never be able to touch the guy. cal It seems like Better Sprint Mod is not that big of a deal in MCSG.

P.S. - Yes I am a bit frustrated(QQ) as you can see because I have to take 30-mins out of my free time to render & upload a video of a cheater and they only get a 7-day temporary ban. I believe it shouldn't be my job to catch Better Sprint Mod Users/Hackers, but it should be a moderator's.

Why is Better Sprint Mod even allowed to be used in MCSG servers? It should be entirely banned.

When I die by one of these cheaters I lose 1500 bounty points(Yes bounty matters to me as I am trying to reach a goal). That's 16,500 gone in 5 days.

I hope I can be compensated for my loss and efforts to bring good to the community.

It is entirely banned, lol

But, to be honest I don't think a lot of people know BSM is banned, because it doesn't say anything about it in game, and if they come from the Hive then they assume BSM is allowed. A 7 day ban is fair if they didn't know the rule.

Also, that was pretty dumb of your friend to say "I hack", he's giving himself up, even if he doesn't hack

And oh noes your precious points are gone :(
No. It's not because I just caught a guy 1 hour ago blatantly abusing the mod entirely. It will be uploaded shortly.

BSM is just a client side mod, so they can't just simply get rid of it from the servers, or they would have done it a long time ago

They have no control over banning the mod from the servers, but we can say: "don't use it or YOU will be banned."
If you could ban nodus automatically from all servers then I think a lot of servers would have -.-

OK, well first of all, when you showed the videos to moderators, they might've gone over the footage with other mods, or more senior staff, and decided that they weren't hacking. Aim-bot is pretty hard to pick out, because people (Like myself) can just be really good with a bow. I've been accused many many times of aim bot, but mods/people in the game usually point out afterwards that I missed a shot or two.

As far as force field, I've only encountered that once (I think), which was where a guy was standing in a door, my teammate snuck up behind him and attacked him. My teammate died, without the guy even turning around, he was just swinging in the opposite direction. I almost died too, but he left before he could kill me.

Hackers like that should be banned permanently, regardless of being donor or not, it's just not good to have hackers in MCSG at all. They know the rules, the shouldn't have done it, forget giving them a warning.

Better sprint mod (BSM) - I don't think people should be banned for this permanently, at least not for the first time. A temp. ban would be better.

Also, I don't think mods can ban people who say "I hack". I invited a mod into a skype chat of mine once, and someone in it said (without knowing that a mod was in the chat) that he used BSM. I told him that there was a mod in the chat and he got really mad, and was scared that he would be banned.

The mod told us that he couldn't ban someone just because of text (Even if he said he used it).

I agree with the permanent ban, for hackers, for BSM users, maybe the 30-day ban would be better than a 7-day ban or permanent ban.

I don't approve of a perma ban because I just banned a hacker and when he found out he was about to be banned he sounded very sorry and apologetic, it could be all fake but it was as sincere as it can get on the Internet. We're all human, we make mistakes but we can learn from them. If we permanently ban hackers then they can't learn from their mistake, well, if they do learn it'll be too late. That's why we give them their 7 day ban so they can learn to repent before we perma ban them if they hack again. My mission, to turn all the Asian hackers into good, social players.

First off, the Asian hacker comment was uncalled for.

Second, the rules "NO HACKING CLIENTS" throughout Minecraft servers is a pretty universal rule. So I don't care if you don't read english or whatever, it's not hard to figure out that hacking is unfair. The guy who you banned sounded apologetic because he didn't want to get banned, not because he made an honest mistake. Hackers know what they're getting into when they install and use hacks.

BSM is a bit different, because a lot of people (Including myself) don't consider BSM as a hack - it's like optifine, more of a tool, but I understand why it's banned.

As for the "learning from mistakes" point that you make, I do agree with that, but I think that a 7 day ban is too short. A 2-4 week ban might be better.

I said Asian hackers because I play on Asian servers and that's who I focus on...
Most of them speak English...

But think of it like this: "Dangit, dead again, why can't I get better, maybe I'll just hack for a little bit just to bring my stats up, nobody will know, maybe if I have better stats I can get in a clan that will help me!"

It's pretty well known that Asian servers tend to have more hackers, due to the lack of moderators.
