For maturity reasons, mostly. You can get an exception by Emailing Col_Star or Bic.

Like said previously, it is mostly due to maturity reasons.
This is not to say that there aren't mature 14 year olds or younger: because there are.
The staff just feels that 15 is the lowest appropriate age for moderating on a server. If you feel you are mature enough, you can always file for an age exception and talk about it with some of the staff.

To be brutally honest, there are many people over the age of 15 who aren't mature or responsible enough either, but that's what interviews and applications are for.

I guess the minimum is 15 because you have to draw the line somewhere.
And the people applying who are 15+ are more likely to be able to handle a position as moderator than someone under 15.

Nope. To clarify, age doesn't equal maturity. So just because you are of age doesn't make you responsible enough for the job. but a line has to be drawn, so the line here is 15.

I guess they had to make a cutoff somewhere. While age does not always correlate to maturity, it seems to fit. Usually, people 15 or above are capable of moderating better than people who are younger. As stated above, you can apply for an age exception. Best of luck with that if you choose to go that route.

There is an age exception process that can be done. But you need to file your regular application first.

And the age exception only gets you past the age requirement, after that you'll have to see whether or not your application is good enough.
