Holding your sword out

Do you hold your sword out or what? I personally always hold a bow out or my first until the second I get into a fight. I think this is a good strategy to use.

I do, because I am not very good and need everything I have to intimidate people so they run XD

At least that's when I'm doing badly and I'm rusty. When I'm playing well I might hold out something else.

This is what I do. It leaves your opponents unaware of your weapons.

I always hold out my sword. Too lazy to get it out, and I get sneak-attacked a lot so I don't have to start switching slots when someone's stabbing me with a sword. So yeah

Edit: I have a fishing rod in my hand, and when I see someone and they want to fight, I do the fishing-rod trick.
