Alcatraz Island - Minecraft survival games map.

Hello everyone! Zimpley here, and today I’m going to tell you about a new map that my build team and I have been building over the course of the past month. The main theme of the map is a prison off the coast of a state in the USA called California. The prison is currently a tourist attraction, but in our map, it will be completely revamped.
The map is 33% complete.
Leaders: Zimpley and Zewyon

In terms of terraforming, we have already made quite of bit of progress on it, including most of the main island, as well as most of the ocean surrounding it.

In terms of buildings, we have not gotten as far, but we are still getting very close. Our goal is to make each building as similar as we can, but also make them interesting and good for PVP and everything else.

There isn’t a whole lot of Redstoning on the map as of yet, but there will be a lot more as we had more buildings and contraptions.

And please do not forget, we have been in contact with ChadTheDJ and Bicentennial_Man and they have confirmed that we can use this kind of unique spawn i will show you now. This will bring a whole new aspect to the game. The corn is made so players spawn in prison cells and the chests and crafting table is in the corridor outside. Here is a picture showing what i mean:

Having been to Alcatrez, let me just remind you that you're not going to want the place being in tip-top shape. The place has been closed since the early 60's, and some of the parts are literally in ruins.

The prison itself is much larger, and theres a recreation yard.

And also, the wardens office is supposed to be connected to the prison, as in the same building. Trust me, I've been there, twice. I used to live in San Francisco.

I dont want to be unfriendly and i also dont want to annoy anyone of the builders, but seriously for me it looks like you jsut screenshotted the big / nice buildings ( they look great ), but the rest of the world... no trees.. no ways just a few buildings on an island, i dont know the rest of the map but judging by the screenshots it is so :/ until it gets implementet in mcsg, please edit the rest of the island with trees etc ( i dont know alcatraz island but I think the trees and other little things would fundamentally change the impression.
btw. i thought president snow and some friends were already building and alcatraz map, now its the question who has these idea as first.

The only thing that strictly comes to mind is how the island is made of grass. In my mind, I imagined a virtually "dead" island. Soul sand and dirt seem like interesting materials for the island. When I think of an Alcatraz map, I envision a broken and worn down place with holes in the walls and destruction everywhere. I think it would be cool to put a surreal twist on the map.

It's a work in progress. They're probably waiting to finish the builds before adding trees and stuff.
