How Do I Get A New Minecraft.jar? (Re-asked)

The answers on the other thread I made weren't the ones I needed, sorry about that.

I want to know how to get a new minecraft.jar. There are no minecraft.jar files in the bin folder. There is jinput, lwjgl, lwjgl_util, md5s, and version.

On the old Minecraft launcher, I would press force update to get a new minecraft.jar if it broke, I deleted it, etc. But I don't see that option anymore. Please tell me how to do this.

Just login and play it automatically creates a fresh jar

Well, if you want a fresh 1.6 Minecraft.jar, login, and click on "new profile" at the top. When it asks you to select your MC version, select 1.6.2. This should replace the old minecraft.jar. Hope this helped!

I downloaded it, but it can't find the minecraft.jar. Is there a place I can download the minecraft.jar for 1.6.2, or am I doing something wrong?

Also, I completely redownloaded Minecraft, and I still don't have a jar file.

I have, and it says it can't find the jar file

If all else fails, I suggest deleting the .minecraft folder all together. If you want to do this, I would make a backup of your worlds, found in the "saves" folder. Then Minecraft will just re-install as if you have never installed it. Hope this helped!

Just in-case you aren't aware, you can find the jar file for Minecraft under the versions folder.

On magiclauncher, go to setup, then environment, then click 1.6.2.
Makes everything easy.
