Hey guys! jcamotts here and I want to share with you some of my best Flint And Steel moves that can change the outcome of any fight, even if your opponent completely out-gears you. I hope you enjoy these helpful tips on how to use Flint and Steel!
The basic Flint and Steel- The flint and steel, commonly referred to as F and S is a tool (For MCSG) That is used to light fire, it has many uses, like burning unwanted items, burning cows, pigs, chickens etc to get cooked meat, but the most common (And efficient) way to use it on MCSG is to burn enemies. When an opponent is on fire, it not only deals damage, but it also stuns their sprint, therefore making it easier to get extra hits off during a fight. These are some ways that I like to use this to my advantage.
1. The simple F and S place-Down: This way to use Flint and Steel is the most common, it takes almost no skill, but can be the difference of you winning or losing. All you have to do is, during a fight (Usually Running away) You simply turn around and place the flint and steel. This is the most common use for F and S and is used by most players. Tips: My best tip that I highly recommend is that you use the f5 key to locate the player who is chasing you.
2. The sword-to-F and S Trick:
This trick is a little more complex then the simple trick. You especially have to Be fast with you keyboard. This trick can only be used it sword fights. To perform this trick I suggest you get 2-3 Hits on your opponent your fighting then quickly switch from your sword slot (In your hot bar) to wherever your Flint And Steel is( I suggest the second slot) And then quickly place it down. This catches your opponent completely of guard and usually gets them on fire. This is one of the most efficient tricks to use while fighting.
3. Fishing rod to Flint And Steel: This trick is the most difficult and is verrryy hard to pull of. Though it is very easy to do it is very hard to avoid your own fire and and to switch keys so easily. To do this it is just like the fishing rod tactic. You throw the rod to hit the player back and then Place the F And S in front of them. The reason this works is that when you hit them with the rod they rush back to get closer to you. They don't expect the the fire as you place it. And before they know it, there on fire! This trick is very hard because you can sometimes hit yourself with the fire, so be careful!
