1 reason why MCSG sucks:
#1. Idiots who make rage threads on the forums and won't stop complaining
I'm not raging :) Just telling the reasons why mcsg sucks and these problems have been going around for while and no one tries to fix them.

I'm sorry but how are moderators inactive? If you look on the forums they are always on.

Oh please shut up.
You don't think we have developers working all the time on bugs?
You don't think we deal with hackers and rule breakers?
You complaining and saying that MCSG sucks isn't helping at all :)

You should do something about it instead of complaining

  • Mod Inactivity
By no means are our moderators inactive, and when they remain inactive, we hire new moderators to replace them. We've hired at least 20-30 new moderators over the past week alone, especially to compensate for having to moderate the hub.
  • Lots of hackers
You're going to find this in any community you go to. Instead of complaining, why don't you help us and record evidence of people hacking, then submit it in the Report Abuse section of the forums? Even though we have 130+ moderators, the way we get most of our bans is through community members submitting abuse reports.
  • Lots of bugs
Sigh.. I'm really going to rant on this one.
Minecraft 1.6 was not an easy update to deal with for anyone. Many, if not most, of the current outstanding bugs are due to 1.6 (for example, the bug that allows you to deal 3 hearts of damage with your fist in rare situations); other bugs are CraftBukkit bugs (such as the bug that allows you to keep absorption after dying; this will be fixed very soon once we merge CraftBukkit changes, as we use a forked version of CraftBukkit internally).
On top of that, there's very few developers and a lot of things that need worked on. For example, right now we're busy working on a conversion of our internal database engine to allow us to handle more players with less performance impact. On top of that, there's also bugs to be fixed, gamemodes to be worked on (i.e. ZedChase), additions to the hub lobby that need to be made, and so forth.
  • Lots of lag (This is like 15th time I randomly lagged out of server in middle of fight)
Which region are you playing on and where are you located? If you are located, for example, in EU and are playing on the US network, you may want to play on the EU network instead. As a general rule of thumb, play on the network closest to you for the best connection.
  • Lots of rule breakers
See my counterpoint to your "Lots of hackers" comment; the same general point applies here.
