Hi!
I've spent the last hour, or so trying to isntall Optifine on my Mac. I tried several times, and each time, failed. There were two issues that occurred, and hopefully, someone will know the solution to them
To get start off, I'll list some basics: (If you'd like more "specs", let me know)
~Im trying to install this version of Optifine: OptiFine HD B1 Ultra
~I'm running on the Mac OSX Mountain Lion
Now, to the issues I've been having installing the mod.
First off, when I put the "code" into terminal, and create the "MCTMP" folder, sometimes there's absolutely nothing in the folder after its created. On one of my four attemps, the files magically showed up after a while, however, the rest, it didn't make any appearances. Without solving this, the rest is virtually useless.
Secondly, when I did get the neccessary "MCTMP" files, and did the rest of the work, and launched minecraft with the new profile-- it didn't work. Minecraft launched perfectly fine, but it became clear in the setting that Optifine was not installed.
I also tried Magic Launcher. I did everything correctly, according to a tutorial, and so I launched the game from Magic Launcher. The game launched fantastically, like the first instance, but once again, it was clear Optifine wasn't actually installed.
Any help with these issues, is much, much appreciated. Let me know if you'd like, or need more information about "specs", etc.
