Donator Disrespect

Not that I'm defending them or anything, but regular members deserve just as much respect as donators, just because you pay money doesn't automatically mean you deserve respect.

Yes, but telling donators what people were telling them in the screenshots is not the level of respect anyone deserves.

Before this goes any more crazy, I'm going to say keep your opinions of moderators performances to yourselves, or talk to the senior staff about it. Arguing on a thread about whether or not someone did the right thins in a situation is not helpful to anyone.

Yes, I do agree that donors are abused in the community. One of their friends has probably been kicked, or maybe they have been repeatedly kicked themselves. Yes, the staff in game probably should have intervened, however no one here knows the full circumstances, everyone goes AFK in lobbies sometimes for a break, and you have no reason to presume that they weren't. And no, unless they are breaking rules (Saying "Donors suck" does not qualify unfortunately) such as swearing, distinct abuse, etc, there is little staff can do. The best you can do in these situations is ignore them, and take screenshots before sending it to staff.

TBH, I don't see the benefit of making a thread about it. Chances are, none of the players that abuse donors are even signed up on the forums, so will never see this thread. You can tell them to get their heads out of their butts, but chances are they are 10 years old, have no concept of how servers and/or donations work, and their parents refuse to pay for some video game thing. I know it is good to vent your feelings and let others share opinions on it, but I struggle to see what benefits will come out of it in this case.

Also, people are always saying how bad the AU community is. Maybe it's because I usually only go on at a certain time, but I find the majority to be nice people, and tend to see 2-3 different staff in servers as I range around. I have played in all regions, and I see only a slight difference in "niceness" of the player base between areas.

You never know, perhaps some of them are at a very tough stage in life, are going through troubles, being bullied at school, etc. Not to make excuses for their behaviour, but sometimes adding a little perspective is good before resorting to the old "Urghhh AU community sucks urghhhh" thing, so we can work towards a solution instead of being only negative about it.

That's not what were trying to say, some non-donors just tend to be jerks to donors, you know that. What were saying, that the ones that are jerks don't need to be they can target us or whatever they want in-game, but abusing someone in chat because they have priority for joining games over you is unneeded and immature. Just to make it clear i honestly really do have high respect for you because your very mature with your posts on the forum and your very mature in game.

Correction: Everyone should be respected the same way on MCSG. There are many people that don't care and are mean to everyone that either kills them, is a donor, or even just targeting a higher ranked player.

Everyone should be respected equally, but that's not actually how it works with many people in the in-game community.

Well. I think you should not hate on someone for being a donor. Before i was vip, i didn't mind donors that much. I just played on the higher servers. But i agree. Many people that has donated are annoying people.

Most of the people donating don't do it for the servers. just for the priviledge of kicking people.
That's not so bad, since mcsg's happy and many people can still play.

But the donor douches i'm talking about are the people who think they own the place just because they donated 10 bucks. They basically accuse you of hacking, and are being complete pricks to you.

At least i've seen several of these people.

This. You can't argue that the majority of donors do it for the benefits, not cause they wanna help. I mean, it does help the server, but I mean come on. Being able to kick people is a dream.

Back when I started playing, and I was a nubby little player, I always had the problem that donors tried to act bigger because they thought that since they donated, they immediately had control over regular members. I mean, all you did was donate 10$ to a server, and get small abilities and a title. You aren't king.

And for a shorter explanation...

- There are some donors who treat regular members with no respect, just cause they get a fancy silver title.

The screenshots shown were bad, and all who were in it hopefully get punished, but once again, I don't see a difference from 8 months ago to now. And yes, it's always been this bad.

If anything it's gotten better, I mean, how many threads have you seen yelling at donors lately? In US when there was like, 30 or 40 servers, I'd see people message worse stuff. .-.

By that do you mean US and EU players don't have the right to complain? Or people in other regions have no right to complain? I didn't completely understand that point.
Either way, well said. I do agree it's gotten much better, but this situation was worse than most I've seen recently and probably one of the worst I've ever seen with all the different people in on it and the awful things some of them said.
