I had always been a fan of "The Hunger Games". I read all of the books as they came out and I simply adored the whole trilogy. I was always looking on the internet for Hunger Games games to play but my searches came up empty.
My family wasn't doing so well, so when I found out about Minecraft cracked version about a year ago I pounced on it. I never played it once after I got it. But one day in early March of 2013 I was sitting on my couch being an idiot like always. But then I had an idea. What if there was Hunger Games servers on Minecraft. I remembered that I once saw a CaptainSparklez video where he played Minecraft Hunger Games. I found some cracked servers and played, although I didn't even have a mouse and sucked. I still loved it.
In late March I bought Minecraft and I found MCSG and The Hive. I hated The Hive because I could never get into the servers, but MCSG appealed to me more because of the maps, and because the people were nice. I usually went solo and I never won a match. Then one day I found someone called "killyourbutt". He is about my age and we struck up a friendship. We've played every day since. I sucked at PVP, period. But killyourbutt or Ben was pretty good. He was and still is in the top 300 players. He started training me and now I'm better. I am a pretty good PVPer myself but that's not that matters. What matters is how just a simple game of crafting blocks and building changed me as I am. It made me value what life gives you, and to use them rather than cry. Because even if all you have is wood, you can get diamonds eventually.
To this day all I play every day is MCSG. I love it and I don't ever want to leave it.
