I'm sorry, but there is no way teaming is going to be banned. It's a lot more fun to team that go solo(usually), and people are on MCSG to have fun. Just kill teams with fire.

What about the hunger games books? You can team, it's your choice. You just have to hope you don't get stabbed in the back... I heard this from someone earlier, if you're playing with friends, it's not fun to Skype them and try to kill them. It's a lot more enjoyable if you're working together. If you can't take down a team then make one. One game a team of 3 was chasing me for 10 minutes, all way better armour (one of them had a diamond sword). I managed to find a guy who I teamed with in the past and together we worked together to kill that team. I went from no chance of winning to winning the game. My ally was later killed and I was accused of hacking by the guys I killed but so what, teaming isn't that hard to combat. I only team if someone asks me whether they be friends or ransoms. I usually join mcsg alone and if I see friends and they wanna team, I do it. If a random guy wants to team, I say sure. The fact is there is no reason why we should ever have to consider nerfing or banning teaming.

Why are you saying everybodies points are "invalid?" Why do YOU get to decide what's valid and what's invalid? Why do you think you know more than everybody else about this? Have you run a server with around 5000 players on it? If so was it perfectly balanced so that skill was the only factor that determine who won? What gives you the experience to call all of our answers invalid and what makes you think you have the right to question the decisions made by professionals who have hosted these servers for more than a year.

Onto xraying, yes there are anti x-ray plugins but they would barely contribute to the server as most people know where chests are or will learn.

EDIT: Who cares if its fair? Was it "fair" that in the books the careers trained and prepared their whole lives for the games? No. Deal with it

People might have already asked about this, but writing a new post to find the answers I want seems to be easier to me than going through 5000 discussions.
I seek an answer as to why there is no Anti-Hack plugin installed on the servers.
I also ask you why some of the SG-Team members approve teaming.

I say that the SG-Team knows as good as I do, that
- there are very often hackers playing on the servers,
- Minecraft is incredibly easy to hack and
- working Anti-Hack plugins that block hacks like X-Ray, Aimbot and AutoSprint exist.

Id est, it seems rather strange that the server has no such plugin installed.
Furthermore, I ask why there is no Anti-Hack plugin installed on the servers.


As to the approval of teamers by the staff, it is that I have seen multiple mods on servers that approved teaming...
"Teamers are awesome!",
"It is your choice if you don't want to team".

The approval of teaming is irrational, for
- The server provides no way of guaranteed teaming, you will need to ask players yourself. But with that method, it is not guaranteed that you can team and
- talkativeness, Skype and internet-friends should not be requirements to play the game fair.

Ergo, it is to be asked why some of the SG-Team members approve teaming.

I really need to just start copy/pasting this, but here goes.

These games are not designed to be "fair". The entire concept of the survival games is 24 people in an arena, one comes out. As long as you are not using measures that modify the game, anything goes. While being good at pvp certainly helps, the primary factor in winning is being able to do anything it takes to win. You can lie, backstab, team, use any tactics some would deem "cheap". If we banned teams (Something nearly impossible to correctly ban by the way) we would be effectively killing the soul of the very games we are trying to better.

Focusing on what Vexillologe said.
There IS an anti-hack plugin as you put it installed on the servers. NoCheatPlus is installed and functional. it is the most popular and the easiest to use(imo) it stops all non-vanilla clients, like, it stops FF, Click aim exc. it only allows things to happen that can be done in vanilla minecraft. now there are ways of getting around this. we need to keep updating NCP to stay up to date and ahead of the hacked clients. the hacked clients find a way for there hacks to bypass NCP so NCP needs to update to stop that and so on.

As for teamers
there will always be teamers. I will admit that when i'm playing alone and I see a team of 3-4 its kind of annoying but one person can easily take out a team of 2 provided the gear is somewhat similar. one person can occasionally take out a team of three or more too if the team is sucks or have really bad gear. teaming is what makes the game. It would be impossible to prevent and enforce teaming. its just not possible. the whole point of the game is to find a way to win at all costs and if that involves having to team then do it. if your just having a hard time finding someone to team with try joining the teamspeak. you might make a friend or two

If you were saying deal with it to a 3-4 team, ok I would try and split off some and take the team down slowly.. but 10-12? man come on get some decency and play properly. You shouldn't be proud of having a big team, there is no need and if you know its not fair.. don't say deal with it, just don't do it! I wasn't talking about the nooby big teams I meant the good players, such as yourself, who decide its cool to be in a huge team

Plus, Im not proud of having a big team.

We've actually never had the team together any way lol. My usual team is only 4 players and WEVE been taken down before.. But even I get taken down by teams and I rage... There were teams in the Hunger Games, and It wasn't fair to others, but thats the point of the game.

Also, succeding in killing a team of 5 is a great feeling.
Its very easy to take out teams of 2 or 3.

You should be more consistent with your posting man first you say "we consist of 10-12 players..." but then you say " is only 4 players".. from "I feel bad when me and my huge team come in the game" to "We've actually never had the team together any way lol"... see I'm not great at math but I can see this doesnt add up ;p
