Optifine isn't working with my magic launcher?

I dont understand... optafine is done and I tried putting it on my magic launcher and it says its still not compatible with 1.6?

Please try not to swear in the title of threads, and it is most likely and optifine issue, if you read on the optifine page, it is only in beta, so it could be a few more days sadly. But if you have changed the envoirnment or something of those standards because magic launcher has changed do not use the direct jar changing for 1.6.x+. Hope I helped you in some form.

This is because it's optifine for mc 1.6.2 and you're trying to use it with mc 1.6.1

Sorry, I don't use magic launcher but if you open minecraft then before clicking 'play' click edit profile on the right hand side you will be able to switch between the latest versions

what are you talkinga bout, I need to use optafine to play MCSG so my computer doesn't lag like crazy. All I want to do is play and all this complicated crap about this update is making me angry. Why do they have to make it so hard to play.
