New Map Creation - Help Needed (Questions)

Hello everyone!

Okay, so! I have started to create a map for MSCG and I have a few questions.

1. I started my design, however, I noticed I only have 12 podiums. Is there a minimum/maximum to the amount of podiums you can have?

2. If there is a minimum, is there a way to remove trees and such faster to create room for more podiums?

3. When building the boundaries, is there a way to build them faster?

4. What is terraforming?

5. Why are maps with redstoning popular? What is the point of redstone in an MCSG map?

6. Say 24 podiums are the minimum, how to I create them so that the distance between them and corn are equal and equal from each other?

7. Say I have a friend in the USA, and I'm in Canada, how can we both create a map on the same single player server?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

The minimum for MCSG is 24, and most of the other questions can be resolved by downloading World Edit.

Here are all yer answers.
1. The Minimum amount of podiums is 24, but you can make several spawns, but the total MUST me 24.
2. World edit is easy to use. But currently I dont think its able to be 1.6.2 yet sorry.
3. When you mean boundaries do you mean the glass dome? if you do, the FASTEST way is to use world edit again, the command once you get it is //hsphere glass (radius[The limit is 200])
4. Terraforming is making land that is unnatural making it look natural.
5. Redstone in MCSG Maps is great because it adds fear to tributes like is that lever a trap? is it safe? and usually maps with some redstone are popular because restone traps usually giv e lots of good loot.
6. I am not good with math, I say just look at another maps podiums and copy that distance.
7. Hmm well this is difficult. You have to portforward the server which is different to everyone. I suggest you rent a server for a small cost if you really want to have your friend play.

Well, for single player I suggest Singleplayercommands which you can find HERE But as I said, Its still 1.5.2
