This bug...

Whenever i play minecraft, the game either slows down like crazy, or frozes...
At first i thought it was because of my internet connection, but after playing it in a friends house and having the same problem, I thought i needed to post it on the forums...

And it's not the only problem im having... whenever i try to sprint, my screen keeps zooming in and out. I don't know if it can be changed from the options. even if it can, i couldn't find it.

please respond...

Firstly, you will probably want to set all your video settings to the lowest they can be for that I would do:
GRAPHICS: Fast
SMOOTH LIGHTING: Off
PARTICLES: Minimal
FULL SCREEN: Off
RENDER DISTANCE: Either short or tiny
PERFORMANCE: Balanced
CLOUDS: Off

If that doesn't work try re installing java which can be found here http://www.java.com/en/download/chrome.jsp?locale=en which usually works!!!

As for the zoom, I cant help :/

People often call that dubstep sprinting. The easiest way to fix it is to stop sprinting and try again. It's just a glitch that hasn't been solved yet.

Playing with Minecraft 1.6.1 will be hell, until Optifine is released.

sorry for not responding earlier,I just got home from vacation.
And thank you so much. I've changed my options and it actually helped. and the zoom problem doesn't last that long now!
