Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo were the first 16bit video-game consoles, released in 1989 and 1990, respectively. Despite being way before my time, I take a liking to these because they brought some of the most classic games ever, like Super Mario World, Zelda: Link to the Past, and Chrono Trigger.
