If you're building a 500 dollar pc, it's going to be more expensive. But as you get more expensive parts, building a computer with those specs, is a lot more cheaper than buying a computer with those specs. 900$ is in that range of building-is-cheaper.

Acer Aspire V3-571G-9435 :
Intel Core i7-3610QM 3.3 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M
6 GB RAM

You can pick one up for less than 800 dollars. Great gaming laptop, can easily run most games on medium-high settings with 60+ fps, minecraft at 200+ fps. Minecraft easily records on this laptop with fraps with 60-120 fps.

I'd love to build a custom computer but I'm eleven and have no freaking clue what any of the parts are or what they do o_O

Lmao. Nub.
Let's just say I am not a nerd that sits on their computer for most of the day and I don't want to have a career in electronics. Do you seriously expect me to know these things? I'm eleven for crying out loud.
In future just don't say those things. It's not funny, and kinda offensive and stupid.
I'm saying I'm not a no-life kid on teh interwebz.
I play outside like a normal eleven year old.
I'm not saying everyone who knows about computers is a no-life but a lot of the MCSG community don't know about computers and play minecraft for fuuuuunnnnnn.

build a custom PC unless you very VERY stupid. i made my PC when i was 12. with costume computers you can build a PC that runs games as good as another that may cost double the price.

get an i7 CPU (for rendering video) and good Graphic card that you've researched that's -$300, get a $50 power supply (cheaper ones will set your computer on fire) and spend what you think is right on everything else. get either a 1 terabyte hard-drive or a 1 terabyte hard-drive and an external hard-drive which will give you less lag when recording. with my one 1 terrabyte hard-drive i lose around 5+ FPS. try and get at least 8 GB of ram if not more.

i have 16 GB of ram, an i5 3570k, and asus GTX 660 ti and a 1 terabyte hard-drive. for my YouTube(http://www.youtube.com/user/SirHugington) i use shaders on fancy and far render distance at 60 FPS.

side note: i have an 1080p monitor like most but it only goes up to 60 hertz (normal amount). if your monitor is 60 hertz like most no matter how many more fps your computer says your getting the monitor will only show 60 Frames per second.

Hope i helped out :D if you have anymore questions please ask.
