Question, is using macro's allowed?

Okay so this is mainly for sprinting. As most know better sprinting mod, is not allowed on MCSG, but is allowed on other servers as totalpvp, necro and the hive. My question is if it's the simple thing as using the mod that isn't allowed because you never have to stop sprinting? or is it the fact that you don't have to double tap W to start sprinting, or both combined. Because i have a keybord with a in-built possibility to make macros meaning i could make a macro that everytime i press W, it will count as pressing it twice meaning i would start sprinting faster. Would this be allowed or would this go under sprint "hacking"? I prefer an answer from mods or someone higher as they can the official statement, not what the community thinks as it can differ from person to person.

it will still give wobbly sprint so not a huge advantage


If that is what you want imo it should be fine, but then you can never walk normally. I dunno but it seems fair.

I agree with what Ninga said, but I do think that is not aloud.

It isn't, a guy that I banned told me to add him on Skype to explain how he wasn't hacking and he told me that he set his macro key for infinite sprint, which works exactly like BSM, that's why he was banned.

So, no.

Edit in reply to Ninga's post: BSM does allow you to sprint in all directions, but not on multiplayer.

This is a interested question Sleivert. It should be okay, as it doesn't give to much of an advantage. Unfortunately, just hitting a button once instead of twice is a still an advantage which is a core reason BSM is not allowed. It would surely allow you to get out of situations faster.

However, if we allowed this instead of BSM, that would fix our BSM problems.
I'll bring this up next Mod Meeting.

Hopefully another Mod can clear up all this uncertainty and answer your question--but for now I recommend not doing it to be on the safe side.

As far as I'm aware it's not allowed, it gives you the advantage of not having your sprint not work all the time as you only need to press it once. Therefore giving an unfair advantage.

Just want to point out a little fact that might matter in this discussion. If you sprint jump for 30 seconds in MCSG or more, you stop sprinting. A lot of players don't no this fact.

what about sprint jumping? never had this happen to me.

Also with BSM, with vanilla minecraft when hitting a player while you sprint, it dies off and you need to double tap again right?

Well, with BSM it keeps on automatically sprinting and your sprit doesn't die off, therefore giving an extreme amount of hits that shouldn't have happened - This also happens when using a macro, which is unfair.
