MCSG's Darkest Hours?

MCSG are going over bumps, obstacles. Every community does, the leaders of MCSG are trying to get the community better again "like in 1.2.5" if that means demoting people and banning people then so be it. Why don't we all just relax and play a game of MCSG and leave the leaders of MCSG to fix the problem with a few staff members. Pop open dat server list and play a game, that's what MCSG is. How does this affect anyone's gameplay on MCSG? Why can't anyone remember why MCSG have forums, for constructive criticism and to be guided on how to play the game and such. If you look closely you can see that all of this drama is over a red name in a Minecraft server.

Cam, I respect you and I'm heeding what you are saying, but there is a fine line between twisting words to further one's own agenda and the truth. That's not to say that the everyone against the staff is stating the "truth", there are some who are opposed to the staff on a personal level and are not fighting for a particular cause yet there are also others who just feel like the community has gone down a dark path and they want to help change it. To be frank, everyone may try to twist words to further their own ambitions and their own cause because they want more to support their side of the argument, is this not true? I feel both sides of this argument are twisting words to gain support so it is not just to point fingers, especially to the community. The problem I see is that no one seems to be looking at both sides or willing to hear from both sides, they simply want to support their own cause and are willing to lie for it.

Also, I feel the example you provided of what the typical "staff opposition" post is is not what most people are arguing, at least not as of now. Those types of posts are usually only done by people who feel they've been unjustly banned or have a complaint to the staff. Just thought I'd shed my light on that

Yoshi, I respect you, your a fellow pleaser , I can agree that some (and I say some, because the amount is about 50/50 on the truth to twisting scale[if that] ) people are speaking out for a noble cause... Ive been here since the beginning of mcsg, and ive seen it change in ways I didnt expect... (not gunna go into detail on that) And I can agree that MCSG is "Different" than what it was in the beginning... Is it worse? Thats a personal opinion... I have no personal quarrel with people "Speaking their mind" As long as no rules are broken in the due process... And believe it or not 80 percent of people claiming to speak their mind are like the example... Most people just arent "popular" enough to cause drama... While a lot of the mcsg community (imho) has become a popularity contest, I still see some genuine people out there... I have neither loyalty (in my personality) torward the staff, nor the community... I see people for how they act, and I treat them as such...

Im rambling at this point...
TL; DR : Both sides do it, I have no issue with people who "Speak their mind" as long as it doesnt break rules... If someone has a complaint with the staff, take it up with either the higher ups of that person, or the community manager... Bicentennial_Man Or Col_StaR ... Yoshi, love you bro, Id like to keep this debate going, at some other time (or any chance to talk to a yoshi)...

Sad thing is , with all this going on i try and stay in the shadow, not cause any trouble or unneeded attention, running from mods in-game, especially some, with a bad reputation, again, the false bans, that's just one of the reasons, i know that i am powerless to do anything about it, but as you can see, even the numbers can't beat the decisions and plans they've already made up in their minds, so all we can do is just step aside and watch how it goes.

Guys, I know that MCSG may have issues as Chad said, all minecraft server communities have bumps along the road. I feel as if were not appreciating the staff enough for what they do however, remember that MCSG does have over 100,000 members now whether they are active are not, being human its impossible to respond to all complaints,requeststs instantly. What im getting at is the staff from my point of view has been doing a great job and it seems at times people see them as a moderator and more like a robot designed to aid to your every need. Clearly, these obstacles will be overcome cause were all together a great community to be a part of the moderators are trying to itake it even better for us and we do need to compensate with them a bit aswell e.g: "You win some, you lose some". I know this seems a bit off topic I just wanted to leave some support for you guys and trying to get this message out to other members.

i know that i am powerless to do anything about it, but as you can see, even the numbers can't beat the decisions and plans they've already made up in their minds, so all we can do is just step aside and watch how it goes.

The point is we can't stand up to staff, cause that won't do anything, honestly i'm even afraid to do so, who knows maybe they even decide to take off my VIP, get some "evidence" and no, i'm not talking nonsence it has happened before.

Nah bro, I just didnt understand... And theres a fine line between "Standing up to staff" and "backtalking staff" One is a bannable offense, and the other isnt... If a staff member is corrupt, then report him... No need to handle it yourself if theres nothing you can do about it... Backtalking is a bad thing = disrespect, hateful comments, and no fun...

The only reason they'd take vip away is if you hack, or break rules... But vips get a stern talking to at the first few offenses...
