someone give this kid a medal
Our Minecraft servers are offline but we will keep this forum online for any community communication. Site permissions for posting could change at a later date but will remain online.
Well I wouldn't know. I have only been here since November so i don't know what the community has been through. It doesn't seem too bad to me. I personally don't fear speaking my mind. It's probably the worst the community has gone through ever. Well, since the Hive was opened and people were threatening to leave. :/ (This is not advertising!)
The problem with your statement there is that many people are in fact punished for speaking their mind, usually silently. I will not go into detail in a public thread but I feel you shouldn't be speaking without prior knowledge. I acknowledge that you're trying to do your job but this is not the problem of a standard Moderator to get involved in. Many people end up disagreeing and it starts to become a flame war rather than a discussion. At the very least, it would be great if you guys could stop making assumptions when you have barely any information on the matter.
NOBODY is being punished for speaking their mind, and we ARE NOT trying to keep anything quiet.
This thread will not be deleted, the only thing we would do is lock it, and that is only if it turns into a flame war.
If this is the case, then why do so many people disagree? We can't all be wrong! At the very least, it would be great if you guys could stop making assumptions when you have barely any information on the matter.

Nobody has been punished at all for speaking their mind. The problem with your statement there is that many people are in fact punished for speaking their mind, usually silently. Unfortunately to say, you are. People believe that Just_Hellooo was demoted simply for speaking his mind, when this is extremely far from the truth. If this is the case, then why do so many people disagree? We can't all be wrong!
He isn't trying to cause drama, he is just standing up for himself. Also he is not insulting the staff in any way.To be honest, you all are very lucky you have this great group of staff, because over on other forums you all would be warned multiple times and then banned for talking back to us or talking about things publicly that should only be discussed one on one with a staff member. (Bans, demotions etc..) Its really truly ridiculous.
Your just causing more drama with this thread and more unneeded hate towards the staff. What did you truly expect this thread to accomplish when you were typing it up? You should have sent a private message to one of the staff members if you wanted to talk about your demotion.
I was not warned. Nor did I talk back. Nor is this a subject that shouldn't be shared. The whole community should know! I don't hate the staff. I will NEVER hate the staff. I just am disagreeing with their p.o.v, as are others. And I did pm a staff member about my appeal. In fact, 2 or 3 days ago. I still haven't heard a response. Props to krackan for helping me with that!To be honest, you all are very lucky you have this great group of staff, because over on other forums you all would be warned multiple times and then banned for talking back to us or talking about things publicly that should only be discussed one on one with a staff member. Because the majority isn't always right, and, on top of that, they don't know the entire situation. If the community feels something is a bad decision, then the staff should try to fix this. For instance, the community has been upset about a few of the demotions. If the community feels that they are a good mod but a select few staff members don't, then what should take precedence? I'll probably be told I'm wrong, though.
