Extremely Dark Shadows - Can't See Where I'm Going

Whenever it is nighttime and/or in a dark area (s/a a tunnel), dark shadows cover the area. They have pink tints, and I cannot see at all when it occurs in large areas. It only happens on MCSG servers (on every single one) and I can't find any threads anywhere on the web to help me with it.
Maybe it is a computer program, but I think it might be Optifine. If it is one of these two, please tell me what to disable, enable, add, delete, etc.

Never seen that issue. If you use MCPatcher to get your texturepack to work make sure custom skyboxes are not checked.

Force update minecraft, if the problem is still occurring then it is not due to optifine. If that is the case then redownload minecraft.
